If you have any questions or concerns about our policies, protocol, or your safety, please contact us outside 24 hours of your appointment in case you need to cancel or reschedule.
Please arrive early to find parking as we are located in a bustling business center. During the winter parking is limited due to snow storage. Please park next door at Best Western for the duration of your massage if you cannot find a spot. Ask ahead of time if you need specific directions.
Please arrive about 5-10 minutes early to use restroom and get on the table just before your scheduled appointment. We like to have hands on you at the start time of your massage.

You can cancel online up to 4 hours before the start time of your scheduled appointment. If less than 4 hours, please contact the office and/or your therapist. To cancel online, log into the Vagaro profile that was created when the you booked the appointment (everyone receives an initial confirmation email after booking). In that email, you should be able to access your login information and enter into your Vagaro profile. From there, select the appointment, and in the drop down carrot you will see the option to cancel or rebook. To contact your therpaist directly, the numbers can be found in the “meet the therapists” section of this website. For your convenience, you can now text our office number as well!
CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING POLICY: You will be charged 100% of the cost of service for cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours. Please see below for more details. It is your responsibility to keep track of weather, air quality, road and traffic conditions and plan ahead. It is your responsibility to reschedule or cancel my appointment asap if you are sick or possibly contagious with ANY illness. PLEASE NOTE: rescheduling and canceling are the same thing as an appointment is being taken out of the books, regardless if one is being added elsewhere.
OUTCALL (IN-HOME) CANCELLATION POLICY: We require at least 48 hours if you need to cancel or reschedule your in-home massage. You will be charged 100% of the service cost if cancelled in less than 48 hours. Please call the office to cancel your appointment.
LATE POLICY: If you arrive late for my appointment, your therapist will do the best of their ability to give the full allotted time if possible. You will be charged 100% of the original service regardless of time given.
VERY IMPORTANT: Please make note of your login information so you have the ability to cancel or reschedule your appointment online if needed, without needing to contact the office. Cancellations and rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance WILL BE CHARGED the full amount UNLESS the spot is rebooked. We allow online cancellations up to 4 hours in advance in hopes that provides enough time for the spot to be rebooked, and thereby not needing to charge you. If the spot is NOT filled you will be charged the full amount of your original service.
Weather, air quality and road/traffic conditions can vary greatly in our mountain community, please plan accordingly. By booking, you accept to be bound by the cancellation policy above regardless of these impacts.
SICK POLICY: Please call your therapist immediately when you know you are sick so we can try and fill the appointment spot. Please do not come into the office if you think you might still be contagious with ANY illness. You are subject to being charged for the full cost of service.

Truckee Massage is located on the southeast end of town, adjacent to the airport. Our office is located in the Rock Complex by Drunken Monkey and 50/50 Brewery. Our parking lot can get busy, so please leave extra time to circle the lot. Looking at the building from the main large parking lot, the entrance is towards the left (Northeast) side of the building. Access via elevator or staircase to the 3rd floor, across from Thai Delicacy Restaurant. Walk down our hallway and our office is suite 305, on the right. Bathrooms are in the hallway. Once you are on the gift certificate page you will be prompted to FIRST SELECT A CATEGORY, if you have not already you will be then prompted to login or quickly create an account. This account will allow Truckee Massage to have record of the gift certificate details that you purchase and also have record of you should you ever come into to enjoy a massage. Once you are logged in, choose the template you would like, fill in the recipient’s name and email, amount you’d like to gift and write a message if you desire. If you click continue you will be lead to the checkout page where you will be able to fill in your credit card information and select if you would like the recipient to receive an email and/or if you would like to print it out. Those are the last steps! Please note, if you do not wish to create an account and decide to call in, we will be creating an account on our end. This is how we are able to track all of the services and items that go through Truckee Massage should we need to reference it. Vagaro is not only our scheduling software, but also our online store, payroll, and much more. Vagaro is an incredibly secure software.
Lost Gift Certificates:
All of our gift certificates are sold through an online portal on our booking site. If you were gifted a gift certificate, there will be a code assigned to it so it can be tracked in our online system. In order for you to search for your gift certificate, please locate the email that was sent to you from the sender/purchaser. All we need to see is that email as it has the gift certificate and code in the message body. If you did not receive an email and were gifted a physical one and lost it, please let the office know who purchased it for you and we can look it up on our end. It is important to know not only the recipient’s (your) name but also who purchased it for you (sender). That will help us find it more easily.

Our “book now” buttons take you to our booking page, powered by Vagaro’s scheduling software. You will have to choose a time, service and therapist preference, create a profile and store a credit card to reserve the appointment. The same process happens when booking through calling the office, we just do it for you over the phone.
You will provide your name, contact information, sign our liability and cancellation waiver, then hold your credit card to reserve the appointment. You will be able to select how you would like to receive appointment notifications and if you want to receive occasional emails we send regarding seasonal promotions or important changes to our services or business.
Different service providers offer different services, like reiki, cupping, or sound therapy in addition to massage. You can search through our website to see who does what under the “About-massage and wellness” page. You may start with the date you want to come in and see what’s available that day or you can search by the service provider you knows offers your desired service and see what days they work.
If you save your profile information you can easily log back in to check your appointment information, reschedule or cancel either by going to the Vagaro website or downloading their app onto your mobile device.

Truckee Massage has three rooms. Depending on the availability of therapists that day, we can see up to three people at the same time, or very close to the same time. When booking online, if you do not see availability for the amount of rooms/therapists you need, please call the office and we will take a look on our end to see if we can make it happen. You are welcome to book something in the meantime to secure a spot, just be aware of our 24 our cancellation policy.

Great question! You may browse availability under each therapist’s schedule on any given day and decide what works best for your group. Make sure to scroll all the way down for the most options. Once you have the specific times picked out with each therapist, book each appointment under each individual’s name. You will need their number, email and a credit card to hold each appointment with. If you try and book multiple appointments under the same name the software will get confused and created weird times and we will have to call you and fix it. We will call you regardless to get the other names/email because of liability reasons. Overall, it is easiest to take the time and book under separate names. If you have an appointment booked already, it is most efficient to contact the therapist who will be working with you. Our numbers are located in the “meet the therapists” section of this website. You can also call the office and any of the working therapists will do their best to answer your question and/or put you in direct contact with the therapist of your choice. Our office number is 530-550-9910. We do not have a receptionist at the desk so it may take a few hours for a therapist to call you back within working hours (9:00am-7:00pm depending on the day).

There are several reasons. In-home massages require a significantly larger amount of reception work, labor and prep, traffic conditions, and coordinating. The therapist has to completely or partially give up their shift at the office in order to drive to a home for work. We do our best to coordinate the in-home massage to be a compliment to our work schedule instead of a sacrifice in maximizing time, but it doesn’t always work that way. The layout of a driveway, or hotel/house space can be challenging to navigate with a table and bag of supplies. We sometimes bring hot stones or add-on’s as an extra thought. Entering a client’s home comes with a great deal of vulnerability to the therapist. An elevated level of safety and comfort is counted on when a therapist enters a client’s home. Overall, the extra costs associated with in-home massage is due to the extreme convenience of the therapist walking through the client’s door and setting up a temporary spa-like experience :). We do our best for both parties to have a mutual experience of care and success. It’s a fantastic treat and we look forward to serving you!
